This small island of St. Barths in the Caribbean is a vacation home to celebrities and the wealthiest people in the world. This is the harbor in Gustavia. It was filled with yachts of all kinds this day in December and I had taken a taxi tour of the island with this stop at an overlook.
I took a three shot panorama of the whole area. The sun was lighting up everything nicely this warm afternoon. I chose a time when the boats were mostly stationary so I could more easily stitch the photos together later. In the center right on the horizon, you can see an island. That is Saba. You may recognize it as the island used in the King Kong movie from years ago. To the left of center is Sint Eustatius and farther left is St. Kitts.
I stitched three photos together to make this panorama. Typically I would set the aspect ratio to a 1:3 or 1:4, but, in this case, I left it as is. It makes it an odd size, but I really wanted to keep that sky in the photo because those clouds are just spectacular. I think it works and it keeps the horizon line right below the upper golden horizontal, where it should be for a panoramic image.
St. Barths is one of the several beautiful Caribbean islands, and incredibly popular with the rich and famous. You don't have to be rich and famous though to visit it. I did.
