Kensington Metropark in mid-Michigan is a great place to walk and see wildlife. While there are many trails, there are also natural areas of native land like this marsh. The spot where I took this was along one of the trails.

On this mid-afternoon, the sun was at a nearly perfect angle where it was out of the shot, but casting warm light across the swamp's grasses. It was streaming in from the right and putting warm light on the right sides of the grass and tree trunks. The larger trees on the right and the smaller ones sprinkled throughout the left and center of the image gave a sense of depth to the composition.
