Dawn Beach is on the island of Saint Marten. It is on the Dutch side in Sint Maarten. This was mid-morning at around 10 AM and because everyone takes their time getting up on this island, there was no one on this beach at all. It was beautiful, sunny, and windy. You can see the palm tree on the right bending in the wind as it blew salty air off the Atlantic Ocean. I could smell the salt in the air and the morning sun felt warm and refreshing.
It was sunny and the glare off of the water was definitely going to be a part of this photo. I used the camera's built in creative mode for beach scenes, and it worked well. I wanted to get the building and tree on the right in the frame because it shows th...
